Ashley's story chapter 8

Part 8
6/25/87 - Mountain View, CA
After leaving Acapulco early in the morning, Ashley and Richie slept on the plane, missing breakfast and sleeping all the way through until lunch. The flight was 9 hours directly into San Jose. After landing in San Jose, a limo picked them up and drove them to the hotel. Sitting inside the limo, Richie took Ashley's hand and kissed it tenderly, “Just try to understand it has to be this way for a while,” He said to her. She tried to smile, but it was recognizably forced. Richie pulled her over to him and she rested her head on his chest.
“I promise it won't be that long,” he said running his hand down the length of her hair. She still hadn't answered him when he lifted her chin up to gaze into her eyes, they were welled up with tears as she tried not to let them fall. “Ashley, don't cry. This is the only way,” he said softly, caressing her face. “I just want to be with you,” he said, reaching up and wiping the tears that had fallen down her face. “I know Darlin', I know,” He whispered to her as his lips parted, kissing her. He knew it was going to be hard, but he had to separate himself from her and fast. He should have thought about this plan a little longer and he would have realized that there was a chance that she would fall for him once they had slept together. He thought Ashley was a sweet girl and he had to admit his time spent with her was perfect. Her age bothered him and he knew they could never have a serious relationship. He had to gradually end it knowing if he did it abruptly it would devastate her. She sighed, reaching up and running her hand through his hair, breathing all she had into him. The remainder of the ride to the hotel they spent that way, only to pull away at the last possible minute when the limo stopped in front of the hotel. When the door opened, Richie got out and helped her out of the car. He looked at his watch and it was, now 3:00 PM. As the bags were being pulled from the back of the car, he walked over to Ashley. “Are you coming to the show tonight?” He asked her. She nodded her head as she picked up her bag and put it on her shoulder. “Okay, I'll meet you in your room after we get back, just let me know what the number is later,” he said. She nodded her head and went inside to check in. “Miss McGhee, your room is waiting,” the clerk said as she handed her a key. “And you have this message,” she added handing her a sealed envelope. She opened the envelope as she moved away from the counter and pulled the paper out. Unfolding it she read it was from Doc. 'Leaving for show at 5:00. Meet in hotel lobby.' She folded it up and went on about her way, leaving Richie alone at the counter.
After she let herself in her room, she saw her bags were there, her clean clothes hanging in plastic. She pulled out some jeans and found a white v-neck cotton shirt, and a black belt then went to take a shower. At 5:00 PM she went to the lobby and saw Doc standing at the desk talking on the phone. She looked around, seeing Dave and Tico by the door; she waved to them and went in their direction. “Nice tan,” Dave said nodding his head. “I suppose you had a great time?” Ashley smiled, “Of course I did. Acapulco was wonderful,” she said heading out the door to smoke. Tico saw her pull out her pack of cigarettes and joined her. Dave joined them and a few minutes later, Doc walked out when he saw that Ashley was out there. “Welcome back,” he said as he reached to hug her. She smiled and hugged him, as she held her lit cigarette away from him. “Nice tan,” he added. “Thanks.” She answered as she took another drawl. “Where's Richie?” Doc asked. “I was about to ask that same question,” Jon said as he eyed Ashley in an odd way. She swallowed the lump in her throat and ignored Jon's stare, “I assume he's getting ready. We got back about three I think and I got ready.” “Well, as soon as he gets here we can go, there's Alec now,” Doc said as he peered inside the hotel lobby door. Jon stared at Ashley noticing the glow on her face. Perhaps it was the tan, but something told him that something had happened between her and Richie. She seemed different; he noticed it right away. He wondered how Richie was going to act. As Alec came out the door, the limo pulled up ready to take them to the venue. Ashley finished with her cigarette and put it out inside the black ashtray filled with sand that was sitting by the door. “Here he comes now,” Doc said. The group formed a line and one by one they got inside the limo, Richie being the last one in. “How the hell are ya?” He asked as the door shut behind him. “Welcome back you slacker,” Jon said as he and Richie slapped their hands together. Ashley sat across from Jon and tried to pay no attention to Richie, fearing that she would give it all away if she did. However, she couldn't help but laugh as Jon and Richie went back and forth at each other, kidding around. “So Richie didn't get on your nerves?” Jon asked her digging for info. Ashley shook her head, “I didn't even know he was around most of the time.” “Yeah, except I did take her out to dinner and we did go do some shopping,” Richie corrected. “Whattdja get me?” Jon asked her. “Nothing,” She laughed.“Thanks a lot!” He said as he playfully kicked the boot on her left foot. The limo filled with laughter and Ashley had a hard time keeping a straight face as Richie told factious stories about their trip. She played along, saying she spent time on the beach. All and all, their story worked and no one seemed to be suspicious of anything, except for Jon. Ashley noticed his expressions and the way he would look at her and Richie. She hoped that maybe she was only paranoid. She and Richie played it cool towards one another the rest of the evening. She was uneasy being around Jason and he seemed to appear every time Richie was around. Still Richie didn't seem phased by it, or he was hiding it very well. After the concert, their group slowly gathered inside the hotel bar. Ashley stood at the bar waiting on her coke when she saw Richie come in with Jon. She turned away and lit a cigarette. “Want something else?” Jon asked as he stepped up to the bar beside her. “A shot of rum in that coke will do you good.” “Sure, if you are buying, I'm drinking,” she laughed. Jon shook his head as he ordered a shot of rum for her. He turned to ask her for a light when Jason joined them. “Is this were the party is?” he asked, smiling at Ashley. “Of course,” Jon said to him. “Ash, can I borrow your lighter?” She reached in her purse and pulled it out, holding it up for him to light his cigarette. She saw Richie out of the corner of her eye and he was staring right at her. She blocked him out of her mind as he started walking towards them. “So Ashley, do you mind if I join you guys tomorrow morning?” Jason asked. Richie walked up just as he asked the question and looked straight at Ashley, waiting for her to answer. He felt a twinge of jealously when he thought her answer may be yes. “So, you run?” She asked him. “He's been my running partner since you left,” Jon told her. Jason laughed, “Yeah, but I didn't want to impose on you. I wanted to ask if it was okay that I join you first.” Ashley couldn't help but smile at Jason after hearing what he said. Richie took a deep breath, knowing she was going to tell him he could join them. “I guess three is better then two,” Ashley said, watching Jon pour the rum into her coke. She took a straw and stirred it up, then took a sip. She arched her eyebrow up at Jon as a devilish smile crept across her face, “Thanks for the shot.” Richie turned to the bartender and ordered a drink as Jason rambled on to Ashley how he loved to run in the mornings. He had about enough of his crap and was trying to find something to change the subject, but nothing would come to mind. Jon turned around to him, “Great show tonight.” Richie nodded his head, “Yeah, it was.” “What's on your mind?” Jon asked sensing he was tense. Richie shook his head, “Nothing, I'm just tired.” Jon shook his head and left it at that. Surely he had to be wrong about his suspicions, he hoped he was. Aside from Richie acting strangely at that moment, he had no other proof. Only that Ashley seemed to be different and he couldn't put his finger on it. He turned around, looking at the crowd of people that were in the small bar. Dave had taken over the piano. Jon grabbed an empty glass from the rack overhead the bar and left. He was laughing as he approached Dave, sitting the empty glass down on top of the piano as a tip glass. He then reached in his pocket and pulled out some money. Seeing he only had a five dollar bill and some twenties, he stuffed the five dollar bill inside the glass and nodded his head. Dave laughed as his fingers ran over the keys playing a nice melody. Jon sat down at the table behind Dave, joining Tico and two other women. Jason was still talking to Ashley, she had her back to Richie. “Jon says you are the one responsible for getting him to go three miles in the morning,” Jason was saying. She laughed, “How many did you do while I was gone?” Jason grinned, “two and a half.” “Oh lord,” Ashley laughed. “I'll be right back,” he said touching her arm.
He left the bar and Ashley smiled to herself. When she turned around, Richie was still standing at the bar, having ordered another drink. She noticed the shot sitting beside his beer.
She moved closer to him, but still keeping a little distance. “Are you coming up tonight?” She whispered.
He nodded his head as he threw the shot back and then took a drink of beer to wash it down. “Leave the door unlocked for me.”
She turned around, her back against the edge of the bar. “I always do,” She said watching a woman climb on top of the piano Dave was playing. She giggled, “You have to see this.” He turned around to see what everyone in the bar was now laughing at. He grinned watching the rather shapely woman dressed in a French Maid outfit, dance on top of the piano as Dave played. The entire bar started clapping; cheering the woman on as she did a proactive dance, touching herself and other things. Ashley shook her head and turned back around. “Would you please order me another shot. I think I'll need it after watching that.” She said to him. Richie waved for the bartender as he continued to watch the show.He ordered her shot and then moved in front of her as she took it, making sure no one saw her. “Thanks. I'll see you later,” She said and left him at the bar. He watched her out of the corner of his eye as she walked to the jukebox that was playing. She lit a cigarette and looked over the selection. He then walked over to her. “What are you going to play?” She looked up, the neon light reflecting on her made him smile. “What do you want to hear?” She asked. He shrugged his shoulders, and then started flipping the selections by pressing the button. He pulled out some one dollar bills and then put them in the machine and started making selections. When he was done he smiled as he leaned over to her. “The first song is for you,” he said then walked off. She smiled to herself. The music started to play and it was a song she didn't recognize. She heard the words and turned around looking at him with a stunned look on her face. She shook her head and turned around. She looked for the song by the number and read that it was Poison, Talk Dirty to Me. Again, she laughed and shook her head. She spent another hour at the bar, talking with others. When it came time to leave, she made it a point to walk past Richie so he would see that she was leaving. She went straight to her room, leaving the door unlocked. She quickly changed into a purple satin and black lace teddy and then pulled the sheets back on the bed. After lighting few candles and turning on the radio it wasn't long before Richie walked in the door. He locked it and turned around, his mouth almost dropping open when he saw her. All the thoughts of breaking things off were erased from his mind. She smiled seductively, as they walked towards each other. He blinked his eyes, looking at her body in what she had on. Their lips met in a fiery kiss. She unbuttoned his shirt, pushing it off quickly into the floor. Lost in each other, they moved towards the bed, desire spreading inside them. They collapsed onto the bed, sweat covering their bodies. Ashley could hardly breathe from the excitement he had just given her. She lay on her side, her head resting on the pillow. Richie laid beside her on his back and soon she was asleep

10:00 AM
Ashley met Jon and Jason by the pool; they were already waiting for her. She smiled, waving at them as she spotted them sitting down at a table. “You gotta get up,” She laughed. Jason smiled, “Good morning.” “Morning,” She said smiling at him. She then turned to Jon. “Morning.” He smiled slowly rising up from the chair, “Morning.” “I need to tell you I have to cut the run short, I have an appointment before the photo shoot.” She said as she started stretching her muscles. Jon and Jason started their stretch routine. Jon's eyebrow rose, wondering what she had to do before the shoot and why she was coming to it anyway. He couldn't think of any reason to ask her. After they warmed up, Ashley was ready to get started. She had to be at the Dr's office on time so she could make it back to the photo shoot that Richie had asked her to come to this morning before he left her room. “I'm ready to get started.” She said to them both. “After you, then,” Jon said. "I know why you want me to go first; you're not fooling me Jon," Ashley said sternly. Jon tried hard to look like he had been insulted. "What? You have an evil mind; I want you to go first because you set the pace so well." "FINE...whatever Jon." Ashley took off at a full run after a few minutes she slowed a little and looked over her shoulder to see Jon and Jason a ways behind her. Turning around she ran in place. "What's the matter can't you two keep up with the pace?" She laughed. "We can keep up," Jon panted when they caught up to her. "Yeah it's just that you took off too fast. We weren't ready," Jason added. "Well, are you two slow pokes ready this time?" She teased. "Go for it," they answered as one. Ashley turned back around and once again set a pace that she was comfortable with. Jon and Jason still kept a few paces behind and she could help but hear the remarks Jon was making to Jason concerning the view up ahead. "Didn't I tell you running with Ashley was great?" Jon said to Jason. If Jason responded Ashley couldn't hear his remark; she slowed down and waited until they caught up with her. "Okay, Jon your turn to set the pace." Knowing he couldn't resist the challenge she added, "If you're man enough." Jon grinned and took off running out front. "What a view!" He heard Ashley yell from behind. He stopped dead in his tracks. "What do you think you're you doing?" He asked her. “Pay backs are hell, aren't they?" She laughed. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. What would you're daddy say if he knew you were checking out guys asses?" Jon joked as he began running again. "What Doc doesn’t know won't hurt him," Ashley responded. They ran a little while longer then Ashley broke off to head back to the hotel, telling Jon she'd see him later at the photo shoot. Jon and Jason put on another mile in silence, and then as they were cooling down, walking back to the hotel Jon asked Jason if he'd made any headway with Ashley yet. "We talked a little but that's about it," Jason said. "Well, look she's going to be at the photo shoot this afternoon why don't you come along." "Thanks I'd like that," Jason replied. Jon told Jason he could ride with him to the shoot and what time to meet him in the lobby then they went their separate ways until later that afternoon.

The Dr.'s appt went quick. Ashley lied about her age and said she didn't' have a photo ID. She knew they probably didn't believe her, but the Dr. gave her enough pills to keep her for six months. She now had to wait before she could use them; after the Dr. explained them to her she was disappointed. She wanted to start as soon as possible so she and Richie didn't have to continue to use condoms. After she made it back to the hotel she had enough time to shower and get ready for the show, so she did. She pulled out a pair of faded jeans with a hole in the knee and a white lycra tank top. Then she went downstairs to where the photo shoot was taking place. When she walked in the room, she saw Spanky right away and she motioned her over. “You are so sweet for helping me out,” She said to her. Ashley smiled, “I think it's exciting.” Spanky laughed, “Sure. That's cause you are handling Richie. Try handling Jon for awhile. He's so picky.” Ashley laughed, never imagining Jon so hard to please. “Come on, Richie's back here.” Spanky said as she led her to where Richie was. The dressing rooms were makeshift, using room dividers for them to dress behind. When they turned the corner Richie and Jon were talking to each other. Richie smiled when he saw Ashley. “There's my girl, “he said. She laughed, “I get to dress you any way I want to Sambora.” Jon started laughing, “I have to go get dressed.” He walked took a few steps before he turned back around. “I can't wait to see what you are wearing Rich.” He continued to laugh and he turned the corner. “How did the Dr.'s appointment go?” He asked her softly as she looked though his clothes. She shook her head. “Fine, but…” She stopped looking up at him. “It'll be a while before I can start them.” He shook his head, “Oh yeah. I forgot about that.” He shrugged his shoulders, “No problem.” “So, why do you really need me to help you?” She asked him. He grinned, “I just wanted you here.” She laughed, “I should make you wear a dress.” Richie smirked at her as he pulled out black jeans, “Just find me a shirt.” He disappeared behind the divider and she pulled out a white shirt and a white jacket for him. She handed them to him over top the divider. “I'll be waiting around the corner, okay?” She asked him from the other side. “No problem,” He answered her. She then left and walked around the corner. Alec and Tico were already standing in front of the camera. She watched them for a little while. No pictures were being taken, they were just goofing off. Richie came up behind her, “How does this look to you?” He asked her as he walked around in front of her. She flashed a big smile showing her teeth. “Very nice.” Her magnetic smile caught the attention from Mark Weiss, the bands photographer. “Who's the chick with Richie?” He asked Doc as he watched her from across the room. Doc looked up, “That's Ashley. My daughter.” “Really?” He asked raising his eyebrow. “She's stunning. She looks exactly like Naomi.” Doc's forehead creased, “I know. Scary, ain't it?” Mark laughed. He knew of Naomi and Doc's affair, only because he was friends with a photographer that knew Naomi well. Doc saw the way he was looking at Ashley. “Mark, she's seventeen.” He smiled, “She's beautiful.” “Don't get any ideas buddy,” Doc snapped. Mark got up off of his stool, ignoring Doc's comment. He motioned for the band to get in front of the camera. In doing so, Ashley saw Jason in the back along the wall. He smiled at her and she walked over to join him. He smiled, “Hi.” “How long did you two run?” He smiled leaning back against the wall, “Not too much longer.” She laughed and he stepped closer to her. “I wanted to ask you something.” “Okay, what?” He looked down at the ground and laughed. He seemed nervous. “I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go out sometime.” Ashley felt her cheeks starting to burn. She didn't know how she was going to tell him no. She smiled and looked over her shoulder to where Richie was standing. “Um…” Jason's eyes followed her gaze. "It's okay I understand. You've got a thing for someone else." "What are you talking about?" She asked turning around to face him. “I don't know why I didn't see this before. This explains why he acts so weird around me. Just forget I said anything. I'll leave you alone.” Before she could say anything to him he left the room. If he was suspicious, it worried her that others would be too. Ashley now had a sick feeling in her stomach. She went outside needing to get some fresh air. She sat up on the brick wall that lead out to the parking lot. Mark finished with the first of he group photos and took a break. Taking a break he went outside and was surprised to see Ashley sitting up on the wall, smoking a cigarette. She smiled at him. Seeing her up close, he was right. She was beautiful; he couldn't help but want to stare at her. “Hi. I'm Mark.” He said. She smiled, “I'm Ashley.” Mark nodded his head, “Doc's daughter.” She titled her head, giving him a surprised look. He smiled again, “He told me.” “Oh, I see.” She laughed. A few minutes later Mark couldn't help but ask her, “Do you model?” She shook her head, “No.” He reached in his pocket and pulled out a card. He wrote something down on the back and then handed it to her. “That's a friend of mine's card. If you are interested I can set you up with a meeting. He's a fashion photographer and I think he'd be interested in photographing you.” Ashley felt embarrassed and her face turned red. She could hardly look at him when she took the card from his hand.“Thanks,” She whispered. “My number's on the back, call me if you decide.” He smiled and walked back inside. Ashley was stunned at what had just happened. She stared down at the card. A smile came across her face. She was thinking it might be something to try anyway. Suddenly it occurred to her that if Mark was outside, then they must be on break. She threw her cigarette in the ashtray and rushed in the door hoping that Richie didn't need her. Coming in the door, she saw that he and Jon were now in front of the camera. She stood behind the lights watching as they had their pictures taken. Stopping to fix the lighting Mark saw Ashley. He smiled and she smiled back. Jon rolled his eyes, “Would you stop flirting Mark! It's fuckin hot under these lights.” Mark turned around; ignoring Jon's comment he went back to taking more pictures. Doc saw what Mark had done and knew he was up to something. He thought he better keep a close eye on the situation, so he went and stood beside Ashley. “I need to tell you something,” she said biting her lip. Doc looked up at her, “Okay, what?” “I am interested in modeling.” Doc shook his head, “Say what?” She frowned, “I said I was interested in modeling.” “Since when?” “Since I mentioned it to her,” Mark said over his shoulder. “You did what?” Doc asked, his anger rising. Mark finished his roll and then turned the lights off. That was Jon and Richie's signal that they photo shoot was done, however they didn't get far when Doc and Mark started arguing. Ashley stood with her arms crossed not understanding why Doc was acting the way he was. “Doc, it's just a meeting. What's the big deal?” Mark said to him. “What's the big deal? I don't want her involved in that shit.” “Why? What's the big deal?” She asked him. Doc shook his head, “You don't know what it entails Ashley. It's not what you think it is.” “Well, it's my life, not yours.” She then looked at Mark, “Tell your friend I'm interested.” Mark shot Doc a look and Doc was pissed, “NO! You're not. We'll talk about this later.” “There's nothing to talk about later, Doc. I'm doing it with or without your permission.” He turned to her and his eyes narrowed, “Don't push me Ashley. I'll send you back home.” Anger spread though out her every limb, “HOME! I don't have a home Doc. Remember?” “Ashley, God damn it!” He yelled. She needed to do something with her life and she couldn't see what was wrong with modeling if that nice photographer Mark thought she could make it as a model why shouldn't she. Doc was just trying to control her life and considering how he'd never been around when she was growing up she didn't see where he had the right to interfere now. She shook her head, “Fine.” Turning around she left. She went down the hall to the bathroom, tears now rolling down her face. Richie hated to see Ashley so upset. They'd talked; he knew how she felt and knowing that he thought maybe he could help by talking to Doc. "Ashley wants to do something with her life, Doc. What's wrong with giving modeling a try?" Richie asked. "I don't want my daughter on display." Doc answered unwilling to come out with the real reason. "Why not?" Jon shrugged his shoulders. "You go no problem doing that with us." "It's different Jonny you belong to the public. That's the life you chose." Doc argued. Jon didn't like being told he belonged to anyone or anything but he chose not to say anything on that subject. His family had always been behind him 100 percent and he couldn't understand why Doc wouldn't be the same way for Ashley. "Why can't Ashley choose that life if that's what she wants? Why kill her dreams?" Jon argued back. "She doesn't understand and it's none of your business. She's my daughter and I don't have to explain myself to you or anyone else." Doc was fuming as he looked over at Mark, pointing his finger he said, "You stay away from her." He turned and stormed out of the room leaving three startled men behind. "What the fuck got into him?" Richie asked. Mark sighed, “He's worried that Ashley will turn out like her mother.” Richie turned to Mark. “You know her mother?” He asked, very curious to how he knew her. Mark nodded, “Well, I've never met her personally, but I know who she is.” He looked over his shoulder to make sure no on was close by them. He turned back around to a very eager Jon and Richie. “Her mother is Naomi D'Aubigne.” Richie's mouth dropped open. “You're shittin me!” “Holy shit!” Jon said. Mark nodded his head, “After what I heard happened to her, I think Doc's afraid she go down the same road.” Jon was still in shock, “Doc fucked her?” Richie laughed, “How else would she have gotten pregnant?” Jon was shaking his head. "Yeah but damn, she was hot and Doc..." “So what happened to her,” Richie asked Mark. “I'm not sure if it's true or not, but from the rumor mill; she got mixed up with the wrong people and had a really bad drug problem. I hear she's living in Canada somewhere. Only Doc knows the truth about that, I'm sure. He hates her that I do know.” Richie shook his head, “Amazing.” Jon nodded his head, “I still can't believe that Doc had sex.” All three men laughed then Jon and Richie headed for dinner. Richie had his mind on Ashley, knowing she needed to know about her mother, but Doc needed to be the one to tell her. He wondered how he could make that come about without letting on to anyone just how much he had learned today. At dinner when Ashley wasn't present Richie knew she had probably gone back to the hotel. Doc asked Richie if he knew where she had gone and Richie didn't know what to tell him. “I'm sorry I snapped off at you guys earlier,” Doc said. “I think you need to talk to Ashley about whatever it is that's bothering you. You are only pushing her further away.” Doc crossed his arms, “What exactly has she told you.” “She's told me enough for me to know she has questions that only you can answer.” Doc frowned, “I guess I've gone about this all wrong.” Richie nodded his head; he knew that he didn't need to say anything else. Doc left and Richie went to get a drink. He noticed that Jason and Jon were having a serious conversation by the door and wondered what that was about. He got his drink and then went on to the dressing room. He was alone when Jon walked in. When he saw they were alone Jon walked over to Richie. He didn't say anything at first unsure how it was going to be taken. He had his suspicions and hoped he was wrong but after talking to Jason just now he wasn't so sure. He had to run it by Richie, but how? He took a deep breath and decided to just come right out with it. "Is there something going on between you and Ashley?" Richie turned his head to Jon, his eyebrow raised, “Me and Ashley? What in the world gives you that idea?” He tried to sound as casual as possible. Jon knew he was treading dangerous ground so he tried to be just as casual as Richie appeared to be. "Just something Jason was saying. And then, umm, well the two of you did go down to Acapulco together and all." “And just what did Jason say?” Richie asked rolling his eyes. "Well, he has a thing for her and earlier today, when he asked her to go out with him sometime…" Jon paused. "Rich, Jason said it's obvious Ash has a thing for you." Richie took a deep breath and sighed. “Jason's right. Ashley does have a crush on me.” "What are you gonna do about it? Watch out she doesn't get the wrong ideas." Jon waited for Richie's response hoping he'd get more insight to how his friend felt. “Ashley knows how I feel. We are just friends. It's her first crush. Jason should mind his own business,” Richie was now irritated that Jason had to go and run his mouth. "Cut the kid some slack, will ya? He can't make any time with her and he sees her making puppy dog eyes at you. How's he supposed to compete with the King of Swing? Anyway, I'm glad to hear you set Ashley straight. You know Doc would arrange to have your nuts cut off if he thought anything was going on," Jon laughed, deciding to lay off his suspicions for now. “Well, to me its shit like what Jason said that will get my fuckin nuts cut off” He snapped back throwing his beer bottle into the trash can so hard it broke into pieces. “You know how crazy Doc can be.” If there was nothing to Jason's suspicions Jon couldn't see why Richie was being so defensive but he decided not to call him on it. Instead he said, "Don't get so worked up. Jason didn't say anything to anyone but me and come on man; you know I ain't talking. I sure as hell don't need you singing soprano my friend." Richie laughed, “well, let's hope Jason don't say anything else. I'd hate to have to kick his ass.” Jon laughed along with Richie but couldn't resist adding, "And I'd hate like hell to have to bail your sorry ass out of jail."
